Digital Lifestyle Outfitters releases the new VideoShell case for the iPod nano (with video). The VideoShell is a hard-shell case made from protective polycarbonate plastic that features a kickstand in the rear of the case for hands-free video viewing.

iFrogz has announced a new iPod case with speakers called Thumpz, a silicone iPod nano (with video) case with a built-in speaker. Thumpz has a speaker technology to offer playback without extra batteries, simply connecting to the headphone jack inside the case. Warning: It's not too difficult to replace your iPod's battery, but anyone who's too intimidated to install RAM in a computer should probably stay away. Also, you might end up scratching and possibly denting your iPod during the process (we didn't care; our second-gen iPod is scratched beyond belief), and you'll definitely void your Apple warranty by opening up the case. Again, our iPod's warranty expired more than two years ago. Proceed with caution.

You know what it's like.
